Research and Cataloging Librarian with the Office of the MN Attorney General
The Office of the Minnesota Attorney General is accepting resumes from individuals with experience in reference and specialized research services. This individual will provide training to staff for various research systems; develop and maintain web-based instructional materials, tutorials, and/or guides to legal research. Also, this individual will provide services such as password management, interlibrary loan, legislative histories and current awareness services. This individual is responsible for cataloging, classifying, and organizing of all materials. You will work as part of a team of dedicated, talented professionals in carrying out meaningful work that makes a positive difference in the lives of the public.
Requirements. Applicants must have a master’s degree in library or information science degree from an accredited school. This position also requires familiarity with legal bibliography, legal research methods, online legal and interdisciplinary research systems and sources, cataloging experience, as well as excellent writing skills. The selection process for this position is highly competitive. Applicants should have good academic credentials, outstanding research and analytical abilities, good judgment and character, and a strong work ethic.
