Youth Services Librarian in Carver County

The Carver County system is hiring a part-time (28 hours per week) youth services librarian in their Watertown library. The County is having a really hard time getting applications in so they are having to post it for the second time. It's 30 miles from Minneapolis, so is pretty rural, but wouldn't be a bad drive for anyone in the west metro.
It's a nice library system, and could be a perfect opportunity for someone just starting out in youth services to gain some experience. If you know of anyone who may be a good candidate, the position should be back on the county website this week (http://www.co.carver.mn.us/departments/employee-relations/job-opportunities) Otherwise, they are also using this as an opportunity to add good candidates to our substitute librarian positions. If anyone has any questions, please feel free to contact Amber Bullis at akbullis@stkate.edu

2017 Metro Transit Internships

Metro Transit contacted us about two internships for 2017, fulltime in the summer and can go part-time during the school year. See their message below (edited):

"It is that time of year again and we are looking for two more great interns from St. Kates. This will be in addition to a current St Kate's student of whom we will be extending their internship. All three of these internships will be 'Records Management Internships' and hopefully the two new ones will have a great understanding of the subject while working on their Library and Information Sciences Masters Degrees."

"This year the Metropolitan Council has started a bit earlier in the year for many of our internships as many students tend to lock in internships elsewhere before we even interview with them."
