Consulting Archivist for the Museum of Lake Minnetonka
The Museum of Lake Minnetonka is accepting applications for a Consulting Archivist. The Museum owns the historic “Streetcar Steamboat” Minnehaha, which was raised from the depths of Lake Minnetonka and restored by volunteers. Each summer Minnehaha is staffed by crews of volunteers who give living history tours of the lake.
The Museum has been accumulating materials about the early history of the streetcar steamboats, the raising of Minnehaha, its restoration, and some artifacts. However, none of this material has been properly stored, organized, or cataloged; thus our request for professional assistance.
This project has been financed in part with funds provided by the State of Minnesota through the Minnesota Historical Society from the Arts & Cultural Heritage Fund.
Applicants must provide a professional resume or Curriculum Vitae, complete contact information for 3 professional references, and hourly rates for professional consulting services. Please submit your application package along with cover letter to Aaron Person, Project Director and Chair, MLM Archives Committee by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by mail to The Museum of Lake Minnetonka, 37 Water Street, Excelsior, MN 55331 by September 15, 2016.
